Branding Design – More than just a logo: why branding is important.

The concept of branding design can be quite daunting – there’s so much to consider! But when it’s done well – it has the ability to deliver great results.

A common misconception is that all you need is a nice logo and you’ll be sorted. However, when it comes to a successful brand, you’ll soon start to find there’s a lot more to it. It’s the logo, it’s the website, it’s the social media posts, it’s the photography. It’s all well and good having a logo, but having a cohesive brand strategy across all platforms, digital and physical, is what will help you stand out from the crowd.

But why is branding so important? What can it do?

It’s all well and good having a logo, but having a cohesive brand strategy across all platforms, digital and physical, is what will help you stand out from the crowd.

Here are 5 key things to consider when thinking about your brand.

1 Recognition

Perhaps the most important function of a brand is to create recognition amongst consumers.  Your brand essentially becomes the voice and face of your business, and it immediately becomes what consumers recognize, so you better make sure your branding is conveying a powerful message about your values, but simple enough to be memorable.

2 Advertising

Well thought out brand strategies can also translate well into advertising campaigns.  Using a range of different means of advertising strategies to showcase your brand and company once again increases consumer recognition amongst your target market and drives more sales.

3 Trust

A well thought out brand makes you look polished, professional and gives you a cutting edge against the competition. Consumers are more likely to do business from a brand that seems well put together and professional looking, and therefore trustworthy.

4 Let Customers Understand You

As mentioned previously, a brand essentially works as a voice for your company. A well thought out and designed brand helps communicate your unique values and ambitions to your customers, and hopefully connects with people on an emotional level.

5 It Looks Good

While there’s so many positives to having a fresh and exciting brand, the most important of all – you look good! And who doesn’t want to look good?

eCommerce Marketing: Is Your Store Ready For This?

eCommerce Marketing: Is Your Store Ready For This?

eCommerce marketing is always moving and changing to adapt to changing consumer behavior. Which as a result of changing technology does dictate this.

We’re moving with the changes as they happen. Spotted recently are some changes that appear to be coming soon on Facebook and online store owners should take note.

This is a carousel of different items presented on the newsfeed.

What’s interesting is that they aren’t a sponsored ad but an organic push by Facebook to present different items from different shops and suppliers on my newsfeed based on what I guess may be a result of their AI’s guess of what I would be interested in.

…an organic push by Facebook to present different items from different shops and suppliers on my newsfeed based on what I guess may be a result of their AI’s guess of what I would be interested in.

Why online store owners should pay attention to this

  1. From what we have seen so far this is an organic push from Facebook giving your store free exposure to the type of audience Facebook’s AI thinks is interested in your product.
  2. Enlisting your shop items gives your store the opportunity to be seen by your customers on Facebook.
  3. If you have already gone through the process of setting up your shop but some items are not showing, to resolve any policy violations promptly and make the most of this while it is likely going to be in an early test phase.

Again, this is an organic method.

No extra spend.

Just your shop items selected by Facebook to be presented to users who are likely to buy.

The shopping experience has changed as consumers shift from window shopping to online shopping.

Capitalizing on this growing trend is key, and social media will become your businesses best friend.

1 KNOW YOUR AUDIENCE

Best way to reach your customers?

Know them!

By knowing their needs and interests, you will be able to craft content that you know your customers will interact with and appreciate.

2 KEEP IT RELATABLE

People are far more likely to interact and share content when it resonates with them on a deeper level. By telling a relatable story through your content, you are connecting with your customers on a personal level – creating a lasting connection and association.

3 UTILIZING INTERACTIVE CONTENT

Keeping your content interactive encourages growth and engagement.

Consumers love getting involved and sharing their opinions. So why not ask a few questions? A quiz perhaps?

Content creation is simple.

Creating high quality content takes into account the other tips we’ve listed.

Why Facebook Is The Perfect Platform For Your Business

Social media offers a range of opportunities and strategies for businesses to get noticed. It’s hard to look past Facebook as one of the most successful ways to connect with customers and build a thriving business and online presence. Here at Wowza, we specialize in Facebook marketing, and can help you get the most out of this extraordinary tool.

But why is Facebook the perfect platform for you?

1 Users, users, users!

With over 2 billion monthly active users, Facebook is the most popular social media site on the planet! With such a large user base, you have the best chance to reach more people, from all walks of life! Whether you want to target a wide range of people, or a specific audience – Facebook is the place!

2 Community

Facebook pages are a great way to foster engagement and community within your audience. Bringing together your audience through interactive posts and encouraging them to share their opinions, offer feedback or write a review creates an open line of communication between both you and your audience – and fosters a sense of community as well!

3 Search Engine Optimization (SEO)

When it comes to search engine optimization, Facebook plays a key role in the accessibility and visibility of your site. Facebook can be a great pathway to lead potential customers to your own website (or other channels), and can help increase your visibility on search engines. We can help you optimize your Facebook page through keywords and valuable content so you can get the best results, and higher traffic.

4 Know your market

Facebook offers great tools for businesses to really understand their market, and the best way to reach out effectively. Facebook Insights helps marketers track the success of your Facebook posts through analyzing reach, user interaction (ie. likes, shares, etc.) and other key points of engagement. All this information can be quite overwhelming to the untrained eye, so we at Wowza can help you understand the figures, and help you use that information to market yourselves effectively and efficiently.

5 Easy!

Unlike creating a website, Facebook is free and super easy to set up! You’ll be up and running in no time at all, meaning you can put all your energy into making those all important audience connections.

Whether you’re just starting out, or have a large and established client base, Facebook is the perfect place to market yourself to the masses through unique and engaging content. Get in contact, and we can help you make sure you’re getting the most out of the platform!

Getting your Facebook account hacked is not something any of us want to happen.

Over the space of less than 6 months, we have had to help a handful of businesses whose owners’ personal accounts were hacked into and compromised. What follows from the terrible experience is more awareness of their account security and updating their settings to ensure there is a barrier to this happening again.

This blog post is really about helping you avoid going through their experience.

The number one thing we want to encourage you to do right now if you haven’t done so is to enable your two factor authentication.

Free Website Builder – How To Use The Google Website Builder

Free Website Builder – How To Use The Google Website Builder

Is it time to get your business online?

Maybe you’re putting it off because you don’t know where to start.

Creating your own online presence can be daunting with domain names, hosting services and the design element to think about.

Possibly the most simple and cost effective way to get started is with the Google my Business website builder.

If you don’t have the time and resources to create a website yourself and you are interested in a website builder, let’s take a look.

This is a good starting point, it’s free, your business is online and allows customers to contact you. However it’s simple and limits how much you can do. So if you’re after something with all the bells and whistles, this might not be for you.

  1. Create a Google My Business listing. Once you have clicked on the “Get a free website based on your info” button, you will be directed to Google’s website builder.
  2. Choose a colour theme
  3. Choose a “primary” button. This is where you decide what the main thing you want your customers to do is. Do you want your customers to call you, get a quote or make an appointment? You can choose from any of the options. Depending on what you choose, this will direct your customers to how they can reach you.
  4. Continue to fill in the information, personalise your site and add photos. Add as much or as little as you like, remember the idea is to tell your story.
  5. Once you are verified, you can ask your customers to leave you a positive feedback on google. These positive reviews will then be automatically displayed on your google website.
